What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Use custom (domain) user for the YouTrack service
  2. Upgrade YouTrack to the latest version using the MSI
  3. The installer will change the service user, letting the update fail because the service can't start

What is the expected result?
The service user should not be changed.

What happens instead?
Instead of the our (domain) user, another YouTrack user is used which hasn't the appropriate rights.
The setup fails because the service is not started.

Please provide any additional information below.
While the installer is at "Starting service", I have to change the service's user back and start the service manually.
Looks like JT-31853.
Last time I had this while upgrading from 2018.2 to 2018.4, but also when upgrading to 2018.2 last year.

Dear Youtrack-Team,

We would like to use your tool as a helpdesk solution.
How can we adjust this and are there points we need to watch out for?
We have 50 users included. Does every Helpdesk user have a user license?
Can Helpdesk users also be guests without a license?

regards,
Turgut

I can highlight only first symbol in a word =(

Happens from time to time with other issues.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

I use the latest Jetbrains Python API wrapper for the YouTrack REST API to get release versions and release dates. This used to work some months ago, but not only the build numbers are returned, not the release date. The "assembleDate" field is empty for all entires, but there are clearly values when the list is observed inside youtrack.

I use Connection.getAllBundles("build") and Connection.getBundle("build", "<project name>: Builds") with same result.

Hello!

I have the workflow that must add user to the usergroup ('IntPerformer') after assignment to him the issue.

The script is below:
var entities = require('@jetbrains/youtrack-scripting-api/entities');

exports.rule = entities.Issue.onChange({
// TODO: give the rule a human-readable title
title: 'Include-performer-to-intperformer-group',
guard: function(ctx) {
var issue = ctx.issue;
// TODO specify the conditions for executing the rule
return !issue.becomesReported && issue.isReported && issue.fields.isChanged('Исполнитель');
},
action: function(ctx) {
var issue = ctx.issue;
var performer = issue.fields['Исполнитель']; // User.fieldType
var gName = 'IntPerformer';
// TODO: specify what to do when a change is applied to an issue

if ( ( performer !== null ) && ( performer.isInGroup(gName) === false) )
    {
      var group = entities.UserGroup.findByName(gName);
      if (group !== null ) {
           group.users.add(performer) ;
      }
    }

},
requirements: {
// TODO: add requirements
performer:
{
type: entities.User.fieldType,
name: 'Исполнитель'
}
}

The procedure return error
TypeError: Cannot find function add in object [{"$$type": " User", "login": "kgf"}, {"$$type": " User", "login": "BAE"}].

In YouTrack Help is defined, that usergroup`s property "users" is the Set.
users Set.<User> A list of users who are members of the group.

I have the similar task (to leave only one user in permitted users group) where all is working correctly without errors:
issue.permittedUsers.clear();
issue.permittedUsers.add(issue.reporter);
issue.permittedGroups.clear();

What do i make wrong?

Thank you!

First, thank you for listening to feedback and making improvements to the "Add Spent Time" feature in 2018.4. This is a critical piece for my team, and I feel that it is very close to once again meeting our needs.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. View any issue within a project which has Time Tracking enabled
  2. Add multiple work records with unsorted dates (see screenshot below of 2019-01-01, 2019-01-07, and 2019-01-02)

What is the expected result?
Either one of two results:

  1. The list is automatically sorted by newest date first circa 2018.2 and before
  2. (Preferred) The list honors the Activity Settings for Sort: oldest first and Sort: newest first

What happens instead?
The list is presumably ordered by created date or ID

Just theories... and maybe unrelated things...
I think it might be related somehow to new issues in state of Drafts. Some "ghosts" ones that we can not see from the GUI, but still exist in DB.

  • We had the same problem as described in JT-42057. The workaround if (parentIssue.id !== 'Draft') { does not work on it now.
  • We recently upgraded YouTrack from 2017.3 to 2018.3, but our YouTrack is currentlly not properly set and runs out of memory now (GC overhead limit
    exceeded
    ) (I read somehwere around here that some cron should be cleaning old / deleted issues once 24 hours, just in case it fails to be run because of the memory)
  • I noticed that id in the exception error message is in similar format as id of an issue in Draft, so i tried to access it directly on URL https://youtrack.iinfo.cz/newIssue?draftId=75-27808 (I have all possible roles that can be set in the YouTrack administration). Clean draft was shown with message The requested draft doesn't exist anymore, so a new draft was created instead
    • We have 5 archived projects (We noticed that issue of those projects can not be accessed any more even with direct URL)
