The Agile Board essentially defines the workflow for issues, and keeping this workflow as simple as possible and highlighting the most relevant information is important. There is a problem however when different members of the team require different workflows for their work.
Currently you are forced to expand the number of columns to include everything that everyone needs to be able to do. It would be useful to have the option to customise the Agile Board view per user or per user group. In this way the Agile Board view could ensure that only the most relevant information appeared for each individual.
For example if I have people dedicated to QA I might want to simplify their view of the agile board to just columns for complete, in testing, and verified; while at the same time I might want to simplify the view my developers have such that they only see columns for open, blocked, in progress, complete. It should be stressed that the point of this is not to restrict access but rather to reduce visual clutter by default, and only in the agile board view, I would expect that all issues would be visible by everyone in the issues view.
