I find it hard to accept a concept where Sprint = Version, as it is happening right now in Agile board. Version of product may last for a number of Sprints and it has a release date. Every version Sprint has start/end dates which may or may not correlate with release date. Seems to me those two definitions (version and sprint) are orthogonal. Sprints defined in Agile board in order to create N groups of issues of the same version, versions defined in project settings and they are not the same.
