Unfortunatelly it is hard to integrate full-featured markdown with existing wiki due to
backward compatibility.
To solve this backward compatibility problem, I would like to suggest that:
Markdown is champion when it comes to ease of use. Wiki Markup is really far off and I'm sure many others would agree with me.

Unfortunatelly it is hard to integrate full-featured markdown with existing wiki due to
backward compatibility.
To solve this backward compatibility problem, I would like to suggest that:
- Admins can select a default value for preferred syntax on newly created users.
- Every user can select his preferred syntax in his profile page.
- When adding a new comment, or creating new issue, next to the visibility options you have a select for Markdown/Wiki syntax.
