You might think that the delete icon under the swimlane will delete selected or focused tasks, sort of similar as how the create icon next to it creates a new task. But it deletes the swimlane which creates all kind of havoc and should really be discouraged with a bigger popup warning (e.g. "All children will become orphans or new swimlanes"). Meanwhile there is no icon for deleting a task, surely a much more common thing to do. (I know you can do it with the delete key, I am basically just saying the emphasis is wrong.)
