There are a lot of instances where using sprints just doesn't make sense. In fact, most of the time you don't set "timeframes" when you do kanban. Scrum needs sprints... kanban doesn't.
So it seems we need the ability to use the backlog on the "no fix version". Or be able to set a sprint to infinite time.... something
