What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Install Youtrack 2017.4 MSI Package Build 39083 or 39238
  2. Choose Upgrade Installation (Backup from Build 38399 or Backup from Version 7)
  3. Youtrack failed to start. 'launcher-service.log' says: "... Error while starting JetBrains YouTrack 2017.4: Can not start servlet context for the service youtrack"

What is the expected result?
Successful ugrade und launch of new youtrack version.

What happens instead?
Youtrack failed to start/upgrade.

Last working version is 2017.4 Build 38399. Using internal HUB. A clean install (without restoring a backup) of the mentioned versions starts without problems.

Currently is Bugzilla attachment is greater then YT limit the import script fails with errors like this:
socket.error: [Errno 10054] An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host
or
socket.error: [Errno 32] Broken pipe

The errors should be handled correctly and the script should not fail, just show warnings.

Hello, it will be very useful if user can change his one line view ,for example show problem Severity or any other custom field .
But now the user can only several fields ( hide or show): tag and priority ,we need custom fields support...

We have email integration setup to collect all our support emails from an imap server without SSL. That has been working for years, but for the last 2 days we haven't seen any email collection anymore.

This is an InCloud license and I went to https://support.tineon.de/youtrack/admin/mailBox to see what's happening.

The mailbox configuration is like this:

Protocol: imap
Host: imap.mydomain.com
Port: 143

The credentials are working as I tested them on my console with telnet.

When I'm testing the connection from within YouTrack I'll see this error message:

javax.mail.MessagingException: STARTTLS failure; nested exception is: com.sun.mail.iap.ProtocolException: STARTTLS failure

This is business critical for us, can you please help us urgently with this?

If the value for a given task is not null, the tooltip for it should contain a field name and a field value ("Assignee: mary").

These modes are often used for presentation purposes. Opening additional tabs during presentation is sub-optimal from UX standpoint at best, so we should consider opening links in the same tab.

The other option would be to introduce a profile setting to control link behavior.

1. Make docker container jetbrains/youtrack:2018.1.39916 with mounting volumes
2. Make chmod -R 13001:13001 for mounting directories
3. Start the container

What is the expected result?
Container starts and works fine

What happens instead?
Config directory is not writable: /opt/youtrack/conf in logs, container doesn't start

Expected:
13001:13001 UID:GID like it should be as in https://hub.docker.com/r/jetbrains/youtrack/ manual
YouTrack uses the non-root account 13001:13001 (group:id, respectively).


Workaround:
Make chown -R 1000:1000 for mounting volumes-directories
